The West Virginia Young Democrats understand the importance of the issues facing our great nation at this moment in history. Today, possibly more so than any other time in our history, failure cannot be accepted. Our Party has been given the unique opportunity to answer the call on issues that have plagued our existence for decades; issues like providing all Americans with affordable health insurance, allowing any worker in any industry to form a Union, recovering the country’s economy, and making sure every single young person in America has the chance to get a college education at an affordable price.
When speaking on the topic of landing a man on the mood, President Kennedy said that we choose to take on these tasks “not because they are easy, but because they are hard” and that same spirit is still alive and well within Our Party and our organization today. We know that the road ahead is difficult, and we are well aware that there will be many roadblocks along the way, but we are committed to standing firm in convictions and not wavering at the sight of opposition.
